Starcat’s Favorites: Motivation

After a week and a half of sinus headaches, wacky hormones, and feeling generally in low spirits, my motivation is finally returning. Phew!  Towards the end of the week, I was feeling creative and productive. Here are some of the things I’ve been working on, along with links for your perusal.

On the advice of my publisher, I joined both Amazon.com’s Author Central, and a site called GoodReads. Such fun! GoodReads in particular is like a Facebook for bookworms. I’ve been having a blast rating books and getting new ones recommended to me. If you’re a GoodReads member, come and find me! Also, if you’ve already purchased my book on Amazon (thank you!), would you please write an Amazon customer review for me? I’d love that.

If you look up at the toolbar, you’ll see a new page, called simply “More.” It’s a place for things like audio files and miscellaneous writings. Right now, you’ll find an audio reading from my book, along with links to my articles on Kind Over Matter. Thanks, BlackLion, for creating the new page and toolbar! Coming soon, I’ll add links on that page to a couple of other sites where I’ll be doing guest posts. So much cool stuff in the works!

BlackLion and I are also diving into a couple of new projects for Feline Dreamers. We’ll be offering an in-person workshop soon, and we’re starting work on a new series of e-books. More on that soon. In the meantime, I’m considering joining a writers’ challenge called ROW 80. It’s designed to help writers organize their goals, stay motivated, and get encouragement from other writers. If I join, I’ll probably start a new blog, just for all things writerly and behind-the-scenes (I wouldn’t want to bore you with my twice-weekly updates and word counts).

And now, on to this week’s links:

To this heartfelt post, I simply say, “yes.”

There are some things that have left me feeling nervous lately. How about you? Here are some ways to cope.

Here are some tips for keeping your digestive system in tip-top shape.

It’s all about listening to your body.

This week I’ll be attending a panel discussion on Paganism and permaculture. Want to know more? Check out this article by my Druid friend Snowhawke.

There’s a brand-new, no-cost online course starting on Monday, called Finding Focus. It sounds terrific! If I wasn’t already in the middle of another online class, I’d be there myself.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a lovely week!
