Happy Autumnal Equinox! We (my family and I) spent our day yesterday celebrating the handfasting and vow renewal of a wonderful couple in our community. Today was about community, too, gathering with a dear friend’s tribe of family and friends to work together to support her as she deals with the effects of stage four cancer. It’s all about balance: celebration and heartbreak, illness and wellness, work and play, reverence and mirth. Right now we’re poised at the point of the year where the equal balance of days and nights turns toward the darkness. I welcome the blessings of both light and dark. I retreat and seek within for answers, even as I turn outward to connect with loved ones. I experience busy days and restful nights. Blessings of the Balance to you and yours!
